We are thrilled to announce that one of our amazing ambassadors, Thaila, won 1st Place High School Vocalist at the Church of Christ Holiness USA Convention on July 20th! Thaila delivered stunning performances of "Deeper Deeper" by Charles Price Jones and "Witness" by Hall Johnson.

A huge thank you to all our VLA family who showed up to support and cheer her on. It was heartwarming to see ambassadors, family, and cohort members come together for this special moment.

THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
WHO WE ARE
We are a collection of high school and college students, along with early-career professionals, serving as representatives for the Vanguard Leadership Academy. In our capacity, we welcome and engage with participants of the summer academy, community partners, and leaders within the Vanguard organization.
WHAT IS THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
The Ambassador Program is an organized initiative within VLA, involving the selection of students from both high school and college, as well as recent graduates embarking on their careers. These individuals are chosen to represent VLA, with the primary objective of promoting and enriching the positive image of the academy. The program focuses on active engagement with cohort members, the community, and leadership within the organization.
WHO WE SERVE
Student ambassadors play a crucial role in directly representing VLA, serving as the organization's face and more specifically, catering to the needs of the student cohort community. In this capacity, VLA Ambassadors offer peer-to-peer support, fostering a positive and supportive community for the students under their care.
HOW IT FITS INTO THE VANGUARD LEADERSHIP ACADEMY VISION
Our Student Ambassadors are at the heart of our community, offering peer tutoring and invaluable support to fellow students. But their impact goes far beyond just our halls! They play a crucial role in our Community Partner Program, dedicating their time and skills to help our partner organizations grow and make an even bigger impact.

Through volunteering, our ambassadors gain hands-on leadership experience, guiding and aiding our partners in their missions. They're not just participants; they're trailblazers showing the leadership potential we believe exists in every student.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM
Being a student ambassador offers a gratifying experience, presenting an opportunity to cultivate a diverse set of transferable skills that prove beneficial in both personal and professional pursuits. Notably, the role provides avenues for developing leadership skills, building an extensive network, connecting with diverse groups, and fostering new friendships. Engaging with professional and community leaders is a significant aspect of the student ambassador experience.
